Groovincible – Groovincible

hi everyone, my name is matt klee.

If you have made it this far then you may be looking for more answers as to who the hell I am. Im just a guy thats loves music and has dedicated his life to creating it with people that want to defy limits.

I play drums and have been doing so in various bands and studio projects for about twelve years now. I performed with many bands in my teenage years, but nothing got serious until I was about 16. I started drumming for a local band called Bonfire, which later became ZuhG. For the next five years we released four albums and toured the west coast multiple times.

Around the same time I joined ZuhG, I was introduced to Alex Voudouris (aka Al Voudou) and began recording an immense amount of material (including drumming on The Rib Cage) in between tours and life. Somewhere around the second record with ZuhG, I met a beautiful woman named Bianca Wright at a show–she happened to sing extremely well. She sang with ZuhG on the fourth record “Free Love” (which won a SAMMIE Award for Album of the Year) and shortly after we had a son.

During this time a new project was born called Groovincible, with multi-instrumentalist Jacob Gleason, (ZuhG’s saxophone player at the time) and Bianca on Vocals. In the last couple years Groovincible released a full length record, developed an online presence, and perform live consistently at festivals on the west coast.

Since 2007, I have drummed on seven albums: four with ZuhG, one with Al Voudou and Novakane, one with Groovincible, and also produced one record with my project LoopHu$tla. LoopHu$tla was the re-birth of “just a drummer” into a producer. I arranged a bunch of lo-fi pro tools 8 sounds around my live drum loops and then got “real musicians” to play all over it, lol.

It turned out good, thanks to Sam Phelps, Alex Voudouris, Rich Tereshinski and Jacob Gleason. Around this time was also the birth of my production team with engineer and producer Al Voudou, called Habit Creature. We create all types of songs with people from all over the world that want to produce sounds from their soul.

If you need a drummer for your gig, a producer/arranger, or someone to just collaborate with–then hit me up!
